Shortly before midnight on 2/21/10, the Millsboro and Indian River Fire Companies were dispatched for a structure fire at Mountaire Farms, E/O Millsboro. Crews arrived to find a working fire in the pit area of a grain elevator, with extension into the multi story elevator and dryer area. Crews worked to bring the fire under control until 0300 hours. The Georgetown, Lewes, and Dagsboro Fire Companies were also requested to assist at the scene while the Gumboro and Frankford Fire Companies covered Millsboro's fire district.
