Statewide Burn Ban in effect May 1 thru Sept 30.

During this burn ban period, known as the Ozone Season, only cooking fires, campfires, patio fire pits, chimenea, and other ceremonial fires are allowed.  Cooking fires are limited to 10 cubic feet at one time, campfires and ceremonial fires are limited to 27 cubic feet at one time.  Residential open burning must wait until October 1.  For more information, log onto the DNREC's website at "dnrec.alpha.delaware.gov/air/open-burning/residential".
